Anti Hot Spot Tape is a PE foam ''Barrier'' Tape designed to separate the polythene tunnel
cover from the abrasion of the steel hoops and the excessive heat that builds
up on the steel work of the polytunnel in the summer.
This physically damages the polythene
and the excessive heat makes the uv stabilisers oxidise and reduces their
effective life. By putting Barrier Polythene Tape (Anti Hot
Spot Tape) on the steelwork of your tunnel you will extend the life of your polytunnel
covers by at least one season, this is why polythene manufacturers
take it into account when designing the film life and specifying it in
their guarantee.
